What happened to the subscription site?
The subscription site re-opened in May 2010! - Go to: www.archbbsdl.com
All of your original files are no longer online. What happened to them?
When the system was downsized, all content was taken offline, and some recent content was added back. All of Felix's past work is availible on the CD-ROM series.
Can your DVD's play in Europe and Asia?
Yes. The DVDs are region-free - and I ship often to customers in Europe and Asia.
Help! I can't order physical DVD's anymore. What happened?
Update! You can now order physical DVD's!
I just viewed an image on the system and I want to save it. How do I do that?
For most browsers, you right-click on the image with your mouse, and select "save image as". Check to make sure that the filename is correct (for example "image.jpg") and make sure that your file is being placed where you want it on your hard drive, then select "Save" or "OK".
How do charges for Archives BBS products appear on my credit card statement?
Charges appear as "Archives BBS".
I am worried about receiving unsolicited e-mails and snail-mails - do you mail me anything I don't ask for?
No, Archives BBS only mails you regarding the status of your subscription, or to acknowledge orders. We don't use the US mail at all except to deliver Video and CD products. You will not be "spammed" by us, or receive any unsolicted mail.
We have a Yahoo Group which you are welcome to join if you are of majority age and wish to keep up with Archives BBS activities.
I want to order a video, but don't want to be embarrassed when the package arrives. What does your packaging look like?
Videos and CD-ROMS are mailed in United States Postal Priority Mail envelopes and boxes. They have a business-like appearance. All that appears on the label is your name, and our return address.
Do I need any special computer system to use Archives BBS?
No. Any operating system WWW browser will work with Archives BBS. However, for your general satisfaction, I recommend an up-to-date PC with plenty of RAM and a large monitor with a resolution of at least 1024 x 768. If you have a resolution, up to 1600 x 1280, that's better. A user with a default resolution of 800x600 will be at a disadvantage. A more detail explanation of your screen size can be found here.
Updated (3/30/09): While images are still produced at 1280x 960 pixels, monitors of the size 1920 x 1200 are easy to find and offer a more satisfactory experience.
I remember a really neat image series, but I have no idea how to find it. Do you have an index?
In May, 1999, Archives BBS implemented a database system for all files. The interface to this database is the File Finder, a member accessible feature. With this, you can find files by part of the filename, by date, by Archives BBS model, or by a string in the description. A help system is available for members.
What is the "Damsels in Distress" Feed?
The "Damsels in Distress" feed uses RSS technology. It is a story segment with illustrations that are changed every several months. If you subscribe to the feed, your RSS reader will inform you when an update has been made. Photos are also added to the feed on an occasional basis, and these can be accessed only with an RSS reader.
I really like this model on your system. Can you give me her e-mail address or phone number?
No. The identity of the models is confidential.
I really like your "Pi Kappa Lambda" (PLK) and "An Easy Job" (AEJ) text file series. Can you mail me the full text file?
Those text files are not released an an entire story - they are published in segments. Available segments are on the CD-ROMS.
Do you do custom video or photo sets?
Sorry, no. I only produce for general release. If you like, however, send me your ideas and I may incorporate some of your ideas in a future video.
