The string requested may be at any point in the filename or description.

If there is a long series of files, like file0001.jpg through file7892.jpg search in "batchs", for instance enter "file03" (without quotes) under the filename for file0300.jpg through file0399.jpg. If you ask for too many files, you will be asked to refine your search.

An example directory is "bb29" a directory of photographs by Felix Dartmouth, or "abpeb_62", archived files from alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.bondage. A complete list of directories can be found on the Files Page.

For directories with Models Names, such as "bb21", "marr13", "p_and04", select the "Model" checkbox to display the column with the model's name.

Select the "Date" radio button to display files in date order, descending.

URL String Customization

You can customize your string search on the fly, if you wish.  For instance the following URL for directory bb30

http://www.archw.com/subscribers/FileFindViewer.asp?FILES=Dir&DIRECTORY=bb30&TN=1&SR=1&SORT=NAME&mn=1

The parameters mean:

DIRECTORY=bb30 - or directory isBB30
&TN=1 - thumbnails in classic view are on. To turn thumbnails off, &TN=0,
&SR=1 - Start Row = 1 - you could, for instance use &SR=7
&SORT=NAME - Sort by Name - you could Sort by Date &SORT=DATE
&mn=1 - Model Name is on - to turn off Model Names, &MN=0

Here is another one, this time for a UseNET archive - with thumbnails in "compact" view, sorted by date, no model names (because there aren't any model names in the UseNET Archives).

http://ww.archw.com/subscribers/FileFindViewer.asp?FILES=Dir&DIRECTORY=upload15&TN=2&SR=1&SORT=DATE&mn=0

Play around with these parameters and you can build the sort that you want!
